SCGD Wins CSR-DIW Continuous Award 2025 Across Five Factories, Becomes Thailand’s First Sanitaryware Manufacturer to Achieve Platinum Zero Waste to Landfill Certification from MASCI

Bangkok — SCGD continues to advance sustainable business growth alongside its commitment to social and environmental responsibility. Five factories under its tile and sanitaryware operations in Thailand have received the CSR-DIW Continuous Award 2025 from the Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry, recognizing the company’s responsible conduct toward society, local communities, and the environment. In a further milestone, SCGD has also become the first sanitaryware manufacturer in Thailand to receive Platinum-level Zero Waste to Landfill certification from the Management System Certification Institute (MASCI).

The five award-winning factories are: SCG Ceramics Public Company Limited (Hinkon Plant), SCG Ceramics Public Company Limited (Nong Khae 1 Plant), Sosuco Ceramic Co., Ltd., Siam Sanitaryware Industry Co., Ltd., and Siam Sanitaryware Industry (Nong Khae) Co., Ltd. The recognition affirms SCGD’s commitment to operating in a manner that is community-friendly, governed with transparency, and oriented toward long-term shared value creation.

Siam Sanitaryware Industry Co., Ltd. and Siam Sanitaryware Industry (Nong Khae) Co., Ltd. additionally secured Platinum-level Zero Waste to Landfill certification from MASCI — a first for any sanitaryware producer in the country. The certification demonstrates the companies’ effectiveness in managing industrial waste, with over 99% of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste diverted from landfill, and only 0.05% directed to waste-to-energy processes.

Operating under a Circular Economy framework, SCGD channels all industrial waste into reuse and recycling processes, supplying it as raw material for other industries. This approach reduces the volume of waste requiring disposal while maximizing resource efficiency — transforming what was once considered waste into a valuable input for new production cycles.
